Nicole Beatson joined the Butler women's lacrosse coaching staff as an assistant coach in June of 2018. Beatson joined the Bulldogs after playing professionally in the United Women’s Lacrosse League (UWLX) this summer.

Beatson began her college lacrosse career at Monroe Community College in Rochester, N.Y. where she helped lead her team to two NJCAA National Championships.  The attacker was voted a two-time First Team All-American and the 2016 Player of the Year.

Following her time in New York, Beatson transferred to Winthrop University. As a junior, she finished the year with 89 points and was named to the Big South First Team. After her standout senior season, Beatson was drafted by the Baltimore Ride of the UWLX.

Additionally, Beatson has served as a head coach for the Skaneateles Summer League in Skaneateles, N.Y., where she was responsible for teaching players the fundamentals of lacrosse. The New York native was also a Syracuse University Winter Lacrosse Camp coach during the winter of 2017.
